Delbert Hale - Lake City

Delbert Hale, 82, of Lake died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Born in Lake City, he was a retired employee of Cerro Copper and Brass Company, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of M.M. Ebert Post No. 1 of the American Legion in Little Rock and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his wife, Faustine Hampton Hale of Lake City; two daughters, Marilyn Jan Weaver of Paragould and Beverly Ann Pohle of Cahokia, Ill.; a brother, Eldon "Babe" Hale of Lake City; a sister, Hettie Morrow of Walcott; and four grandchildren, Clint Weaver and Nick Weaver, both of Paragould, Gary Pohle of Cahokia and Joshua Pohle of East Carondelet, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Florence Hale; two brothers and a grandson.

Services were 11 a.m. Saturday at Mitchell Funeral Home chapel with Scott Neathery and Thom Cody officiating. Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Weaver, Clint Weaver, Nick Weaver, Gary Pohle Sr., Gary Pohle Jr. and Joshua Pohle.
