Freddie James "Bud Littlefield, Jr. - Leachville

Freddie James "Bud" Littlefield, Jr., 77, of Leachville died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at Monette Manor Nursing Home. Born at Forrest City, he was the osn of the late Freddie and Myrtle Thrasher Littlefield and had been a Leachville resident since 1932. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served his country in World War II. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Leachville Second Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Christeen Edgin Littlefield, of Leachville; two sons, Jackie Littlefield of Bentonville and Freddie Littlefield of Leachville; a daughter Kathy Cassidy of Woodstock, Ga.,; a brother, Jerry Littlefield, of Greensboro, N.C.; three sisters, Dorothy Decker of Manila, Laura McDaniel of Campbell, Mo., and Barbara Ann Reid of Washington, Ill.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Charles Stoddard officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
