Irven Page Carmichiel - Dyess

Irven Page Carmichiel, 84, of Dyess died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Osceola.

A retired farmer, he was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War and had worked for American greetings for 32 years.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and was of the Presbyterian belief. He had served on the Dyess School Board for 12 years.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Carmichiel of Dyess; four sons, Joel Carmichiel and Scott Carmichiel, both of Dyess, David Carmichiel of Manila and Michael Carmichiel of Osceola; a daughter, Christie Warhurst of Dyess; three sisters, Pansy Watson of Marked Tree and Shirley Booth and Meriam Carmichiel, both of Collierville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Lepanto with J.E. Crawford officiating. Burial was at Potter Memorial Cemetery.
