Leander Pannells - Monette

Leander Pannells, 63, of Monette, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a retired farmer, member of Buckdonic Assembly of God Church and U.S. Army veteran. He had lived in the Monette area most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Perlie Sue Pannells; a son, Douglas Lee Pannells; his parents, Jesse and Perlie Pannells; three brothers, Wayne, Bill and Ernest Pannells, and a sister, Vera Henderson.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Pannells of the home; a brother, Jim Pannells of Paragould; a son, Brian Pannells of Manila; a stepson, Hezzie Campbell, Jr. of Manila; a daughter, Susan Hollis of Manila; a stepdaughter, Angie Tucker of Monette, and six grandchildren, Breanna Pannells, Tessa Pannells, Sasha Pannells, Heather Hollis and Coby Hollis, all of Manila, and Cassie Tucker of Monette.

Services will be 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the Monette Assembly of God Church, Rev. Wayne Faulkner officiating.

Burial will be in Macey Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Active pallbearers will be Lee Tucker, Curtis Henderson, Mark Hart, Chriss Pannells, Kevin McComas and Charlie Agee.
