Bobby F. Powell - Flint, Mich.

Bobby F. Powell, 76, of Flint, Mich., died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, at McLaren Regional Medical Center. He was born in Monette on Jan. 19, 1926, and was a resident of the Flint area for over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was employed by Chevrolet Manufacturing for 44 years retiring in 1991.

He is survived by daughters, Donna Jones of Swartz Creek, Denise and husband, Warren Dodd, of Lubbock, Texas, Margaret and husband, William Morse, of Atlanta, Georgia, Teresa Robinett of Burton; son, David, of Flint; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Stanley and wife, Lucy, of Flint; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, and son, Robert.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, with Deacon Jim Corder officiating. Entombment was in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
