Gylinda Loren Carmichael - Caraway

Gylinda Loren Carmichael, 62, of Caraway, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002. She was retired from Basler Electric, a member of Caraway First Baptist Church for 22 years, and had lived in the Caraway area most of her life.

She is survived by her mother, Hallie Toombs, of Black Oak; a son, Jonathan Carmichael of Black Oak; a daughter, Amy Carmichael Price of Caraway; two sisters, Jo Ann Riley of Caraway and Phyllis Clay of Trumann; two brothers, Wayne Toombs of Blytheville and Randy Toombs of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Daniel Carmichael, Julian Price, J. Alan Carmichael and Jona Lauren Carmichael.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Caraway First Baptist Church with Jonathan Carmichael and Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery. Gregg Funeral Home of Monette was in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Michael Riley, Barry Riley, C.W. Toombs, Gary Don Hurst, Roy Carmichael and Bobby Slankerd. Honorary pallbearer was Dion Clay.

The family requests that anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louise, and Ronald McDonald House in Memphis.
