Lloyd E. Hale - Lake City

Lloyd E. Hale, 82, of Lake city, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born at Dixie, he had lived in the Lake City and Dixie areas most of his life. He served in the Army during World War II, was retired from Lincoln Manufacturing of Jonesboro and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Imogene Lewis Hale of the home; a son, Ricky Hale of Caraway; three daughters, Janette Ginger of Hot Springs, Helen Stewart of Elgin, Ill., and Lucille Harvey of Paragould; a sister, Della Haffer of Dixie; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland with G.W. Endicott officiating. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Kenny Qualls, David Dudley, Max Hale, Mike Huffman, Jim Dooley and Casey Horner.
