John Edward Jackson, Sr. - Leachville

John Edwqrd Jackson, Sr., 84, of Leachville died Monday, May 13, 2002, at his home. Born at Monette, he was the son of the late James E. and Bertha Crittenden Jackson and had been a Leachville resident since the late 1930's. He was retired from Columbia Carbon and Ribbon Company in Blytheville and was formerly with the Leachville School district. He was a member of the Leachville First Baptist Church and was an Army Veteran of World War II and a Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Bolin Jackson of the home; a son, John Edward Jackson, Jr. of Lytham St Annes, United Kingdom; two daughters Kay Demailly of Little rock and Marsha Jackson of Leachville; six grandchildren, Kim, Kerrie, Randell, Jessica, Tracy and Catherine and two great-grandchildren, Will and Haleigh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gus Jackson and a great-granddaughter, Anna Grace Jackson.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Jimmy Anderson and Rev. Jerry Kausler officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
