Rosa Lee McDougal - Monette

Rosa Lee McDougal, 72, of Monette, formerly of Manila, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at her home. Born in Leachville, she had been a long time Manila resident before moving to Monette. She is the daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie Wagner Haywood and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Manila.

Survivors include her husband, James W. McDougal of the home; two sons, Kenneth McDougal of Vicksburg, Miss., and Freddie McDougal of Lake Enid, Miss.; a daughter, Kay Staggs of Monette; two brothers, Cotton Morris of manila and Charles Morris of Oak Grove Heights; three sisters, Pat Albrecht of Manila, Millie Jones and Janet Rhodes both of Leesville, La.; four grandchildren, Stacie Thompson, Jamie Staggs, Jo-Keith McDougal and Dianna Renee' McDougal; one great-grandson, Blake Thompson.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Morris, Gene Morris and Leoanrd Morris, two sisters, Eula Mitchell and Nadine Attaberry, and a granddaughter, Lindsey Thompson.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will be in the Manila Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Lebi Morris, Anthony Morris, Gary Morris, Charles Ray Morris, Ronnie Morris and Darrell McDowell. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Hicks, Jerry Lindsey, Steven Albrecht and Gary Mitchell.
