Winona Leslie - Blytheville

Winona Leslie, 82, of Blytheville died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at her home. Born Oct. 10, 1919, in Cave City, she was the daughter of Albert Edgar and Martha Jane Perkey Milligan. She was a homemaker, a member of the Mississippi County Senior Citizens and of the Baptist faith. She had resided in Monette from 1940-1970 prior to moving to Blytheville.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd Wayne and Pat Leslie of Southaven, Miss., and James and Earline Leslie of Pontotoc, Miss.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Don Strickland of Jonesboro, Linda and Don Bobbitt of Rocky Mountain, N.C., Sue and Danny Childers of Paris, Tenn., and Sherrie and Doyle Hopper of Blytheville; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Floyd H. Leslie.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Cobb Funeral Chapel in Blytheville. The Rev. Matt Corkran officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery.
