Opal Ann Carmack Earnhart - Caraway

Opan Ann Carmack Earnhart, 81, of Caraway died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at her home. Born at Williford, she lived most of her life at Caraway. She was a homemaker and taught school at Caraway for many years. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Caraway.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Paul Earnhart, of Caraway; a son, Gary Paul Earnhart of Caraway; two daughters, Paula Ann Earnhart and Janie Sue Qualls, both of Lake City; a sister, Jewel Johnson of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Community of Christ Church in Caraway with Martin Passmore and Loretta Qualls officiating. Burial was in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Christopher Earnhart, Jason Kelly, Michael Kelly, Kenny Qualls, Garrett Qualls, Michael Johnson and Elbert Junyor.

Honorary pallbearers were the men of the Community of Christ Church at Caraway.

The family requests that anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Community of Christ Church of Caraway or to a charity of the donor's choice.
