Harold L. Hamilton - Fouke

Harold L. Hamilton, 78, of Fouke died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at his residence. Born in Leachville April 21, 1923, he was a retired farmer, a veteran who served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Texarkana, and American Legion. He lived in the Manila area until 1970.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Olive Fleeman Hamilton of Fouke; five sons, Harold E. Hamilton of Fort Worth, Texas, Michael D. Hamilton and Kenneth Wayne Hamilton of Fouke, C. Patrick Hamilton of Redwater, Texas, and Dan Landrum of Alto, Texas; three daughters, Harla Johnson of Colleirville, tenn., Pamaela Taylor of Lucedale, Miss., and Rise Femmer Seiben of Montiowoc, Wis.; his mother, Jewell Berry of Joensboro, a brother, James Berry of Jonesboro; two sister, Kay Stankley of Paola, Kansas, and Maxine Pope of Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren< and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Fuqua-Everett Memorial Chapel at the Texarkana Funeral Home, with Rev. Ed Kerr officiating. Burial was at Sylverino Cemetery.
