Thelma Hedge Grigsby, 92, of Leachville, the widow of Lester Grigsby, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Jan. 17, 1909, in Camden, Tenn., she was the daughter of Will and Hester Weaver Davis. She was a longtime area resident, a homemaker, and a member of Ruddle Road Church of God.

She is survived by four daughters, Ulala Baggett and Novella Carroll, both of Leachville; Edna Mae Morton of Blytheville; and Gladys Morgan of Plantersville, Miss.; a son, James Hedge of Blytheville; two stepsons, Orvie Dean Grigsby of Muncie, Ind., and Wilburn Grigsby of Tyronza; two stepdaughters, Alene Tippitt of Blytheville and Evelyn Morris of Tarpinville, Ill.; 18 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Leslie Hedge; a daughter, Hester Marie Hedge; a son, Leslie Edward Hedge; a stepdaughter, Irene Copeland; and two brothers.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. L.V. Rigney and Rev. Danny Rigney officiating. Burial was in Dogwood Cemetery.
