Sharon Jones Barber - Lake City

Sharon Jones Barber, 42, of Lake City, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Monette, she lived most of her life in the Lake City area. She was a homemaker and attended the Assembly of God.

Survivors include a son, Todd Woodall of Pell City, Ala.; her mother and stepfather, Esther and Bill Williams of Lake City; a brother, Jerry Jones of Lake City; a sister, Linda Jones of Lake City; a stepbrother, Ed Williams of Jonesboro; a stepsister, Dottie Williams of Lake Jackson, Texas; and her maternal grandparents, Raymond and Bertha Pyburn of Lake City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Odell Jones.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Friday at Pine Log Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Clark officiating. Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Lesley Jones, Stan Jones, Kevin Pyburn, Rick Thomas, Marvin White, Jim Hoy and Eddie Haff.
