Martha Jane Harris - Kansas City, Kansas

Martha Jane Pollard Harris, 57, of Kansas City, Kan., formerly of Osceola, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001. She was born Oct. 5, 1944, in Wilson and was an Osceola High School graduate. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by a son, William Shaun Harris of Kansas City, Kan.; three daughters, Sherry Hayes of Memphis, Tenn., Beverly Gordon of Jonesboro, and Lorie Lee of Jonesboro; her mother, Helen Pollard of Pauls Valley, Okla.; eight brothers, John Pollard of Mid West City, Okla., Bobby Pollard of Plymouth, Maine; Sidney Pollard, Jr., of Mid West City, Okla.; Perry Pollard of Bartlett, Tenn., Donny Pollard of Sugarland, Texas, Dicky Pollard of North Little Rock; Timmy Pollard of Mid West City, Okla., Danny Pollard of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Patty Watson of Manila and Penny Richmond of Pauls Valley, Okla.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney Pollard, a brother, Jimmy Pollard, and a sister, Janet Smith.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola with Rev. Dale Walker officiating. Burial was in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
