Benjamin C. Myers - Manila

Benjamin Clyde Myers, 80, of Manila, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born at Shawnee, Okla., he was the son of the late Clyde and Callie Myers and was raised by his stepmother Jewel Myers. He was a retired millwright with the James River Paper Company in Kalamazoo, Mich., where he lived until moving to Manila in 1991. He was a member of the Community Methodist Church in Manila.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Wiersma of Kalamazoo, Mich., a granddaughter, Julie Ferreira of Baltimore, Md.; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Greta Myers, in February of this year.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Michael Winberry officiating. Burial will be in the Manila Cemetery.
