J.R. David Jr. - Caraway

J.R. David Jr., 76, of Caraway died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Sept. 26 on Arkansas 77 south of Manila. Born in Leachville, he was a retired banker and a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Lee David of Caraway; two daughters, Gundel Leigh Martin and Deborah Lynn Taylor, both of Caraway; a nephew, Lt. Col. John Joslin of Rockport, Texas; two grandsons, Garrett David Taylor and Kabe Graison Taylor, both of Caraway, two granddaughters, Holly Nicole Woody of Osceola and Melanie Lynn Gyngard of Caraway; a step-granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Woody of Osceola, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Friday at Caraway United Methodist Church with the Rev. George Williams and the Rev. Don Wilson officiating. A private burial is planned at a later date under the direction of Langford's Funeral Service.
