Imogene McDaniel - Lake City

Imogene McDaniel, 68, of Lake City, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was retired from Basler Electric and was a member of Refuge General Baptist Church. She lived in Caraway before moving to Lake City nine years ago.

Survivors include her husband, Tolly McDaniel of the home; seven sons, Larry Hardin of Payneway, Darrell Hardin of Marked Tree, Jimmy Hardin and Danny Hardin, both of Jonesboro, Ricky Hardin of Evening Shade, Michael Hardin of Trumann and Teddy Doyle Hardin of Osceola; four daughters, Joyce Barrett and Bonnie Collins, both of Caraway, Connie Hart of Payneway and Donna Friend of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two stepsons, Herman U. McDaniel Jr. of Lake City and Ernie McDaniel of Jonesboro; four stepdaughters, Shirley Culbertson of Grandville, Mich., Linda Miles of Grand Rapids, Judy Russell of Lake City and Brenda Hudson of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Lewis Nelson and Carl Nelson, both of Jonesboro; five sisters, Patricia Nelson and Betty Barrett, both of Lake City, Nina Cornwell of Jonesboro, Nona McGhee of Perryville and Carol Shortnancy of Rivervale; 16 grandchildren; 26 stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and 37 stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday at Refuge General Baptist Church near Lake City with Rev. Larry Ward officiating. Burial was in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.

Pallbearers were Larry Hardin, Mike Hardin, Ted Hardin, Ricky Hardin, Ronnie Thomas and David Nelson.

Honorary pallbearers were Dale Staggs and Windel Hart.
