Dr. Doyle J. Brewer - Blytheville

Dr. Doyle J. Brewer, 81, of Blytheville, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Born in the Fifty-six Community, the son of Ambrose and Anis Mealer Brewer, he was a longtime Blytheville resident and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was an ordained deacon at Trinity Baptist Church, an active Gideon and served on the Mississippi County Mission Board. Dr. Brewer was the owner of Brewer Chiropractic Clinic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy Harris Brewer, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jamie Brewer, of Albon, Ill; and a granddaughter, Kayla Brewer.

The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Blytheville with Rev. Bill Fuller officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville.
