Playfair Marret - Monette

Playfair Marret, 83, of the Red Onion Community near Monette died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at the Monette Manor Nursing Home in Monette. Born at Paragould, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Grace Lee Coburn and had been a lifelong Monette area resident. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Coburn, and a brother, Winfred Coburn.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Frank Marret of Monette; three daughters and spouses, Patricia and Harry Leonard of Cookeville, Tenn., Karen and Robert Fain of Moncks Corner, S.C., and Renee and Johnny Flanagan II of Bonneau, S.C.; two sisters, Marian Tracer of Rector and Joyce Pitts of Monette; a brother, Graham Coburn of Paragould; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were 2 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Royce Schanda and Rev. D.M. Morris officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens in Paragould.

Pallbearers were Thomas Farr, John Flanagan III, Keith Chichester, Tige Fain, Timmie Tracer and Steven Tracer.
