Lester J. Barringer - Caraway

Lester J. Barringer, 86, of Caraway, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was retired from American Greetings, member of the Caraway Church of Christ and had lived in the Caraway and Black Oak area a lifetime. Mrs. Barringer is survived by two sons, Dale Barringer of Yorkville, Ill., and Dwain Barringer of Caraway; a brother, Dalton Frasure of Lepanto; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton B. (Jack) Barringer, and two brothers, James and Hugh Frasure.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday with Jeff McLean officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Pallbearers were Dale Barringer Jr., Darrin Barringer, Dallas Barringer, Chad Barringer, Wayne Barringer and Gary Frasure.
