Oscar Leland Doty - Bay

Oscar Leland Doty, 74, of Bay died Monday, June 4, 2001, at his home. Born at Needham, he was retired from American Marine in Tacoma, Wash., and was a member of the Assembly of God.

Survivors include his wife, Erma Lee Coy Doty of the home; three daughters, Linda Olson of Jonesboro, Patricia Llewellyn of Boise, Id., and Nancy Menhorn of Atlanta; a brother, John Doty of Trumann; a sister, Ruby Holt of Lake City; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. James Moore and Don Lewis officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Howard Holt, Tim Holt, Farrell Roberts, Dennis Bryant, Glen Bryant and Jason Llewellyn.

Honorary pallbearers were Bill Paden, Lhonis Sides, Eldon O.V. Doty, Roy Bryant, Ron Olson, Greg Olson, Holly Olson and Danny Holt.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the American Cancer Society.
