Jimmy Veach of Manila received a 50 year pin from Masonic Lodge 588 on Monday, Nov. 19.

Veach became part of the Masons on Feb. 3, 1966, while living in Corning. After retirement in 2010, he and his wife Janie moved back to Manila. Veach then became part of the Manila Lodge 588, which was chartered in 1905.

“I have always liked being part of the Masons,” Veach said. “There is a camaraderie we enjoy with like-minded people.”

Veach was presented a pin and certificate from Brad Phillips, Grand Master. Also congratulating Veach was Carl Brooks, Worshipful Master.

Veach's son Glen of Corning joined his father for the special ceremony.

Veach also has two daughters, Melissa, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Nancy of Dudley, Mo.
