Anna LaDon Brown, 77, of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, at the Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. Born in Black Oak, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Anna Mae Green Rodgers and had attended Black Oak and Monette Public Schools. LaDon had been a Leachville resident since 1969 and was involved with the daily operation of the family farm. She was a faithful member of the Leachville First Baptist Church and the Hannah Sunday School class. She served her church in many capacities over the years, including pianist, organist and director of the Vacation Bible School program.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Rodgers Brown; a grandson, Roger Clifton; and her twin brother, Donald Rodgers.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Marvin D. Brown of Leachville; one son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Julie Brown of Conway; one daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Freddie Clifton of Leachville; four grandchildren, Kimberly Webb Rhodes (Derek), Bryan Webb, Theresa Clifton McAnally (Rocky) and Chip Clifton; eight great-grandchildren; Keegan Rhodes, Dallen Rhodes, Lleyton Rhodes, Lindsey Honeyman (Travis), Alexis Hill, Alyssa McAnally, Mallory Clifton and Hunter Clifton. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, including Suzann Henry and Shanon Rush, who were both involved with LaDon's care in recent months.

The family would also like to thank Lakeside Nursing Center and St. Bernards Hospice for the loving care LaDon received.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Leachville with Pastor David Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include James Thomas, Ronnie McFarland, Hugh Wayne Rose, Larry Brown, Cole Hawkins, Pat Bader, Marlin Miller and Randy Rose. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hannah Sunday School Class.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 Monday evening at the funeral home.
