Bobby Routon, 93, of Manila passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge. He was born Aug. 29, 1925, to Pat and Pearl Johnson Routon in Pottsville. He married Kathleen Coffman on May 10, 1946, in Michigan City, Ind. He was engaged in farming and served as a deacon at Browns Chapel Baptist Church in Manila. Bobby served in the United States Navy during WWII.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Kathleen Routon; his parents; three sisters and six brothers.

Survivors include a son, Raymond Routon (Portia) of Tyronza; a daughter, Brenda Flippo (Dennis) of Hoxie; a sister, Donnie Hall of Lepanto; six grandchildren, Charles Flippo (Dana), Brad Flippo (Angela), Kristy Graham (Danny), Kathy Brothers (Barron), Rachel Routon and Rebekah Routon; and 10 great grandchildren, Casey Flippo, Hunter Flippo, Chase Flippo, Mackenzie Flippo, Drew Flippo, Maddie Flippo, Ty Flippo, Karysn Graham, Rylee Graham and Brody Brothers.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Larry Deaton officiating. Interment will be in Lawrence Memorial Park with military honors.

All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
