Patriotic parade held in Leachville

Leachville's patriotic parade kicked off the Fourth of July celebration.

A patriotic parade was held in Leachville Wednesday morning, July 4, with William Olive selected as grand marshal. He was driven by Nathan Sanders.

Parade participants included Mississippi County Sheriff deputies; Leachville Fire Department and First Responders; Mayor Rodney Robertson; Representative Johnny Rye; Bobby Ephlin, Republican candidate for Mississippi County Sheriff; John Alan Nelson, Republican candidate for Mississippi County Judge; Dale Cook, Mississippi County Sheriff; veteran's float; barrel rides for kids driven by Jamie Hawkins and another driven by Charles Woods, Sr.; Leachville High School Class of 1962, driven by Jack Hawkins; Leachville Class of 1984; Melody Theater; Burger Express; UPC Church People of Praise; Wo Tang Boys; Dylan Hawkins; antique vehicles driven by Larry Brown, Jim Johnson and Mark Johnson along with four-wheelers, motorcycles, bicycles and more.
