Monette High School will hold an All-Class Reunion Sept. 1 at the Buffalo Island Central gymnasium in Monette.

The MHS Reunion Planning Committee has meet for a year planning the event, which will consist of registration beginning at 10 a.m. and a program at noon.

“We are looking forward to seeing all our MHS classmates again this year,” said Reunion President Eddie Dunigan. “We get together every three years. Some classes are planning special gatherings in homes or area restaurants on Friday night before the reunion or after the reunion on Saturday, so they can have a little extra time with their friends.”

Only former MHS classmates are asked to pay the $10 registration fee at the door, as all other guests enter at no charge. The fee is used to offset the expense of the reunion and mail-out. The concession stand will be open at the BIC gymnasium to purchase drinks and food during the reunion.

Program Chairmen Mickey Littlejohn and Tony Hickman are planning a wide variety of entertainment for the afternoon assembly, which will include music, class and faculty identification, school memories, and recognition of the 1972 MHS Junior High School Boys Basketball State Champion teammates, coaches, managers scorekeepers and cheerleaders.

A new 2018 MHS Yearbook will be published for the event, and will include updated names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of all known classmates. Class group photos will be taken during the day.

Reunion information can be obtained at the MHS website or on Facebook at Monette High School Reunion.
