Lady Mustangs defeat Marked Tree and Cross County

Buffalo Island Central gained a pair of victories in high school softball action last week. BIC doubled up Marked Tree 6-3 Thursday on the road before coming home and outlasting Cross County 12-8 on Friday.

Hanah Carle went the distance to pick up the win over Marked Tree. Jealynn Cates and Emma Graddy both cracked RBI singles to lead the Lady Mustang offense.

Harley Daniels had a big day for Marked Tree with a single, two doubles, and two RBI.

In Friday’s victory over the Lady Thunderbirds, BIC had three players go 3-4 at the plate. Cates doubled twice, belted a triple, and drove in a run. Carle smacked two doubles and had two RBI while Graddy singled twice and smashed a double. Holly Stockton singled, doubled, and drove in two runs.

The Lady Mustangs return to action next week with a road trip Thursday afternoon to Cross County.
