There is strength in numbers and the newly reestablished Manila Ministerial Alliance (MMA) has a goal to work together in unity for the betterment of the community they serve.

The local ministers will meet the second Tuesday of each month to share ideas, study and work together.

One of the first events sponsored by the area churches will be the Community Easter Service at the Manila Airport Community Center at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 31. Everyone is invited to join in the service as the community comes together to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. There will be singing and preaching of the Word.

Members of the Alliance hope to grow as they work together.

Brother Charles Dixon, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will serve as president of the MMA.

Other pastors involved include Eddie Hawkins of Westside Baptist, Mike Colvin of Milligan Ridge Baptist, Jeff Knowlton of Little River Baptist, J. Wayne Moore of Bethany Baptist, Scott Riley of Harvest Fellowship and Tony Huffman of Manila First and Community United Methodist Churches.

All pastors are encouraged to be actively involved with the Alliance. For more information or meeting times contact Brother Dixon at (870) 815-1091 or Brother Huffman at (870) 818-3233 to be added to the email and call list.

The mission of the Alliance is to share God's love and Jesus' Good News.
