Harrisburg's Harlson no-hits Lady Lions

Freshman sensation Kloey Harlson fired a no-hitter to lead Harrisburg to a 5-0 victory over Manila in high school softball action Tuesday afternoon at Lion Field. Harlson struck out 15 Lady Lions while issuing just two walks. Harlson also hit a pair of batters.

The Lady Hornets broke a 0-0 tie with a run in the bottom of the third. The Lady Hornets added single runs in the fourth and fifth innings before capping off the scoring with a two-run sixth. Harrisburg finished with nine hits on the afternoon.

Ashten Wallace took the loss for Manila, working six innings, allowing five runs, all earned. Wallace fanned 10 and walked one batter.

Anna Walker paced Harrisburg at the plate, going 3-4 with an RBI. Ansley Wixson had a pair of hits and an RBI while Caitlyn Adams blasted a solo homerun.

The Lady Lions return to the diamond Monday with a road trip to Corning. Manila travels to Senath-Hornersville Tuesday before going to Marked Tree Thursday. The Lady Lions close the week with a home game Friday against Armorel.
