James Edward Meyers

James Edward Meyers, 88, of Cardwell, passed from this life Thursday, March 15, 2018, at his home. Born and raised in Corinth, Miss., he was the son of the late William Neal and Lillie Virgie Timmons Meyers and had been a Cardwell area resident since 1952. He was a retired farmer having worked many years for Howard Eldridge Farms in Cardwell.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Delora Bell Mashburn Meyers in 2006; three brothers, A.W. Meyers, Ruben Meyers and Joe Meyers; a sister, Daris "Jean" Pannells.

Survivors include a brother, Dewey Meyers of Senath, Mo.; and a sister, Jan Hoggard of Cardwell.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, in the Cardwell Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial is under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. Online guest register at www.howardfuneralservice.com
