Corning ends Rebels' season
Riverside saw its season come to an end Monday night in the 3A-3 District Tournament at Piggott when Corning handed the Rebels a 69-45 defeat.
Corning held a 17-10 lead after the first quarter and increased their margin to 33-20 at the half. The Bobcats took a 53-28 advantage into the final frame.
Cole Woolard pumped in a game high 18 points to lead Corning while Clint Hovis added 16 more.
Ethan Cash paced the Rebels with 16 points while Landon Moyer chipped in 14.
Both teams shot well from the foul stripe. Corning hit free throws at a 90 percent clip, going 28-10 while the Rebels dropped in 15-19 attempts on the night.
