Casey Wells announces plans to run for Manila School Board
Casey Wells has announced plans to run for the Manila School Board, Position 1, in the May special election. Wells is a lifelong resident of Manila and a 1991 graduate of Manila High School.
“I hope to provide new insight and vigor to an already great board," Wells said. "Having young children in kindergarten and elementary myself, it’s important to me to make sure our school is led in a direction for success now, but more importantly for the future.
“Being a graduate of Manila, I see where our school has been, and how lucky we are to have been able to improve our facilities and faculty over the years. If we listen to our community, and do what’s best for the students and school, we will continue to be successful. I will invest my time and effort to a school that helped me become who I am today. I look forward to serving and working with the board to continue making decisions that will lead our school into the future."
Wells, along with his wife Christy, own Wells Vision Care of Manila and Paragould. He is active in coaching youth sports, and a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Manila.
He and wife Christy have two children, Grayson and Ava Kate.
