Riverside Head Basketball Coach Buster Campbell has been named by the Arkansas High School Coachesí Association to the Arkansas Coaches Hall of Fame.

Campbell, who is in his 42nd season as a head coach, began his career at Caraway, where he spent 10 years. Campbell took over the Riverside job in 1985 and has been with the Rebels every year since, with the exception of the 1989-1990 season. Campbellís victory total currently stands at 874 wins.

Upon hearing of the honor, Campbell laughed and said he hoped it wasnít fake news.

ďThis is just icing on the cake as far as my coaching career goes. Iím really honored, but I didnít win it alone. Iíve had a lot of great players, and our fans and the whole community share in this award. Iím fortunate and blessed to live in the community I live in. Lake City and Caraway are a big part of this. Iím humbled because there are a lot of great coaches in the Hall of Fame. Iím very proud of the award,Ē Campbell said.

The long-time Rebel mentor will be inducted July 13th in Hot Springs.
