Monette -- Tommy Joe Gathright, 85, passed away Nov. 3, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born July 13, 1932, in Monette to Clyde Gathright and Rella Lamb Gathright. Mr. Gathright worked in a factory as well as owned and operated a parts store and was a farmer for 41 years of his life. He enjoyed westerns and was a volunteer fireman for 25 years. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an EMS driver for 25 years and a member of the Monette American Legion.

He is survived by three brothers, Gene Gathright (Norma), Jack Gathright (June) and John Gathright (Liz), all of Monette; a son, Tommy Gathright Jr. (Patty) of Monette; a daughter, Tammy Milligan (Douglas) of Monette; four granddaughters, Misty Fowler, Brandy Ray (Eric), Erika Harlan (Dalis) and Christina Lairsey (Brandon); a grandson, Austin Milligan; three great-great-grandsons, Jayden Fowler, Cristopher Harlan and Beckham Lairsey; a great-great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Harlan. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Leona (Tootie) Gathright; a brother, Billy Gathright; and a sister, Patsy Craig. 

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment followed in Macey Cemetery.

A visitation was from noon until time of service.

Justin Gathright, Wade Gathright, Tony Hawkins, Ronald Gipson, Ronnie Bruce and Little Jack Gathright served as pallbearers.
