Sherwood -- Nora Lee McGaughey, 93, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, in Little Rock.

She was born July 6, 1924, in Melbourne to the late Albert and Nora Pinkston Bishop. She lived most of her life in the Dixie area, she moved to Sherwood in 2011. Mrs. Nora was of the Methodist faith and a homemaker. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Mary and Richard Greer of Sherwood; three granddaughters and their husbands, Keri and Stacey Thomas of Black Oak, Kimberly and Ryan Johnston of N. Little Rock and Kristy and Eric Hancock of Lonoke; great-grandchildren, Karoline Thomas of Black Oak, Jordan Johnston and Anna Paige Johnston both of N. Little Rock, Tristan Hancock and Jada Lee Hancock both of Lonoke; a son-in-law, Allen Smith of Monette.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar McGaughey; a daughter, Phyllis Smith and eight brothers and sisters.

A celebration of her life was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment was at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family received friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Larry Bishop, Kelly McGaughey, Heath McGaughey, Kyle McGaughey, Stacey Thomas, Eric Hancock and Ryan Johnston.
