Savanah Stewart graduates from WVU
Savanah Layne Stewart, formerly of Monette, graduated from the West Virginia University (WVU) School of Dentistry on May 13, in Morgantown, W. Vir. Prior to commencement, Dr. Stewart was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and she received the AmeriStewart graduates WVU
can Association of Orthodontics Award, the Quintessence Book Award for outstanding contributions with Research in the field of dentistry, and the American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD) award for leadership and high academic achievement, as well as for serving as founding president of the AAWD chapter at WVU.
While enrolled at WVU, Dr. Stewart had the opportunity to travel to Guatemala on a medical missions trip providing dental care in remote areas. Following graduation, Dr. Stewart began a residency program to specialize in orthodontics at St. Louis University.
Dr. Stewart is a 2008 graduate of Buffalo Island Central High School and a 2012 graduate of Arkansas State University. She and her husband, Dr. Mark B. Kingston, a general dentist, plan to return to the Northeast Arkansas area to practice dentistry in the future.
