Mildred Lucille Glover

Lake City -- Mildred Lucille Glover, 93, left this earth to join her Savior on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born July 28, 1923, in Sulfur Rock to the late Orville Marion and Jesse Adams Halsey. Mrs. Glover was a member of the Lake City First Baptist Church. She retired from Salant and Salant Corp and farmed in the Lake City area all of her life. She loved sewing, decorating, crocheting and crafts and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ancel Glover in 2002; a son, Darrell Glover in March; three brothers, Victor Halsey, Paul Halsey and Orville Halsey; three sisters, an infant sister, Mabel Lock and Thelma Glover.

She is survived by her children, Karen Bland (Michael) and Gaylon Glover (Glenda), all of Lake City; five grandchildren, Diana Young, Gelinda Wolf, Darren Glover, Miranda Wheeler and Jared Bland; and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life was 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Danny Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

The family received friends from 1 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Jared Bland, Clint Wheeler, Harold Harvey, Eddie Robinett, Jim Lock and Larry Montgomery.
