Leachville officer resigns

Tuesday, May 30, 2017

Leachville City Council members met in a special called meeting Thursday evening appointing Councilwoman Lisa Baldridge as pro-temp mayor. Baldridge stepped into the position previously held by Councilwoman Ethel Hetler who requested the change due to her health.

The council then accepted the resignation of police officer Zakk Crocker as of June 1. Crocker had been with the Leachville department for a little over a year. He was also the K9 handler. The council voted to house Reno, the city's drug dog, at Blue Streak in Jonesboro until other arrangements are made.
