The second annual Hot Rods and Barbecue Festival was held April 29 on Caraway Main Street. The festival had to be moved from the scheduled date of April 22 due to inclement weather.

The festival drew a crowd with lots of new and old cars and trucks to see, along with barbecue by Bo James. Visitors could enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers or barbecue bologna, a southern treat.

Roger Williams, one of the organizers of the event, thanked everyone for their participation.

Winner of the trophy for the 1956 and newer vehicle was Billy Pannell with his 1979 Chevrolet Silverado. Presenting the trophy is Merrett Emery.
