Daylight Donuts opened in Manila Friday morning to a great reception throughout the day. Owner Sopheap Ly is excited to be open for business at Highway 18 Bypass and is looking forward to getting to know her customers. Others in the store will be Yoeun Bou, Lyming Buoy and Vansak Keng.

Partners Helen Grady and Daniel Ty have shops in Blytheville and Gosnell.

The new business will be open from 4:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. seven days a week. A drive-through window service is available or customers are welcome to come inside where several booths are available for those who want to dine in.

Daylight Donuts offers more than just a large variety of doughnuts. A wide choice of breakfast sandwiches on croissants and biscuits are available. Biscuits and gravy are on the menu, along with sausage and bacon burrito.

A popular specialty offered is kolache, regular or jalapeno, sold individually, or by the dozen. Boudain rolls are filled with spicy sausage.

In the doughnut line, glazed, chocolate, iced, jelly filled and doughnut holes are offered. For the cake doughnut lovers there are blueberry, buttermilk and vanilla doughnuts.

In addition to the other menu items cinnamon rolls, butter rolls, Long Johns, cinnamon twists, apple fritters and bear claws are available.

Hot or ice blended coffees are on the menu along with different flavored, blended smoothies. There is a large cooler with a variety of milk, juices and other soft drinks.

The staff is ready to serve the community with friendly service. They want to get to know their customers.

Several of the customers visiting on the first day had only good comments about the food and the service.

A ribbon cutting was held Friday with several guests including Fred Baugh, who helped remodel the building, Attorney Jeremy Thomas of Osceola and others.
