Riverside bowling team split matches

The Riverside bowling teams recently split matches against the Norfork Panthers in Jonesboro. The girls team won by a score of 1769 pins to 1721 pins. The Lady Rebels were led by Delaney George, with an average of 148 and Hailey Carr, with an average of 145.

The Lady Rebels are currently in second place overall in the team standings. Valley View has a season total of 8662 pins, with Riverside close behind at 8639 pins.

For the boys team, pin leader was Larry Tilley with an average of 169. Carlos Mata had an average of 156 and Hayden Carr had an average of 150.

The Rebels are currently in fourth place overall with a pin count of 9884. Westside (10628 pins), Brookland (10576 pins), and Nettleton (10290 pins) hold the top three spots.

The Riverside bowlers will close out the regular season with a match against Brookland this week. The District tournament will be held Feb. 1 at Jonesboro. The Regional tournament will also be held in Jonesboro on Feb. 10, with the State tournament at Conway on Feb. 15.

Members of the girls team are Brianna Campbell, Hailey Carr, Delaney George, Lauren Tucker, Rose Varner, Bridgette Warren and Cara Williams.

The boys team consists of Dylan Austin, Hayden Carr, Jagger Davis, Matthew Fraser, Eli George, Carlos Mata, Jon Milligan, Aaron Smith, Gavin Stone, Hunter Swaim, Larry Tilley and Jacob Thomas.

The teams are coached by Terry Conner and Mark Mann.
