Rebels power past Trumann and Brookland
Gavin Stone rocked Trumann with a 42-point performance to help propel the Rebels to an 87-69 victory over Trumann Monday night.
Dylan Austin scored 12 while Chris Sain and Braden Overman chipped in 11 points apiece.
Aaron Hamilton sank eight three pointers and fnished with 24 points to lead the Wildcats. Ben Turner chipped in 14 while M.J. Barnes added 12.
In junior high action, Riverside nipped Trumann 45-42. D.J. Bowers paced the Rebels with 22 points while Demo Bowers added 10 more.
Riverside traveled to Brookland Tuesday night and took out the Bearcats 68-42. The Rebels led 17-7 after the first quarter and stretched their lead to 32-12 at the half. Riverside took a 44-25 advantage into the fourth period.
Stone topped the Rebels with 22 points, Sain scored 12 while Jon Milligan had 10. Austin tallied nine, Landon Moyer contributed eight, Braden Overman chipped in four while Carson Bell added three points.
The Rebels were near perfect from the foul stripe, sinking 14-15 attempts. Dalon Ford and David Ballard led Brookland with 13 points apiece.
In junior high action, Brookland defeated Riverside 45-24. Kaden Strode led the Bearcats with nine points while Colby Wood added eight.
D.J. Bowers paced the Rebels with 12 points while Demo Bowers added eight. Gage Crews and Traven Weaver chipped in two points apiece.
