Lady Lions subdue Rector 47-39

Manila played host to Rector Tuesday night and came away with a 47-39 victory over the Lady Cougars.

Jordan Tyler paced the Lady Lions with 13 points while Hannah Teague and Tessa Pannells added 11 points each. Sydney Adcock and Madison Bibbs pitched in four points apiece while Hannah McQueen and Micah Beach both scored two points.

In junior high action, Manila rolled over Rector 30-14. Brailey Hampton pumped in a game high 15 points to lead the Lady Lions. Anna Grace Adams scored nine, Anna Beth Baugher tallied four while Jasmine Lozano pitched in two points.

Manila began the week with a tough 43-40 loss to Trumann. Teague paced the Lady Lions with 11 points. Tyler scored nine, Pannells tallied eight while McQueen and Kaitlyn Adams netted four points each. Adcock contributed two while Bibbs and Courtney Merritt tallied one point apiece.

In junior high play, Manila defeated Trumann 38-27. Hampton pumped in a game high 22 points to pace Manila while Adams added 12 more. Baugher and Kaitlyn Weather chipped in two points apiece.

Manila closed the week, dropping a 53-33 decision Thursday night against Rivercrest. Teague led the Lady Lions with nine points while McQueen chipped in seven. Hannah May scored five, Merritt tallied four, Tyler and Beach netted two points apiece while Pannells and Adams contributed one point each.

In junior high play, Rivercrest outscored Manila 38-26. Hampton led the Lady Lions with 19 points. Adams scored five while Baugher added two.

The Lady Lions will begin NEA Tournament action Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. against Harrisburg.
