Fisher helps Lady Rebels to undefeated week
Bailey Fisher capped off a week of three point shooting, draining eight three pointers to help the Lady Rebels overpower Harding Academy 62-39 Saturday in the Pangburn Classic. Fisher, who nailed 21 three pointers in three games last week, finished with 24 points as Riverside improved to 13-4 on the season.
Haven Robertson dropped in 17 points for Riverside. The Lady Rebels held a 19-7 lead after the first quarter and took a 36-24 advantage into the half. Riverside enjoyed a 44-29 lead after three quarters.
Riverside defeated White Hall 52-25 Friday night at Pangburn. The Lady Rebels jumped to a 17-4 lead after the first period and led 28-15 at the half. Riverside took a 39-21 advantage into the final frame.
Fisher buried seven of eight three point attempts and finished with a game high 23 while Robertson added 10.
Riverside defeated Harrisburg 54-35 Thursday night at Lake City. Fisher topped the Lady Rebels with 20 points while Lotti Hoffman added 12. Jessica Webb and Emily Armstrong led the Lady Hornets with 12 and 10 points respectively.
In junior high action, Riverside improved to 17-3 with a 45-28 win over the Lady Hornets. Grace Ann Puckett led the Lady Rebels with 12 while Anna Meurer chipped in 10.
Riverside bounced Westside 62-44 Monday night in Jonesboro. The Lady Rebels placed four players in double figures, led by Hoffman's 16 points. Hattie Milligan scored 15, Fisher had 12 while Robertson chipped in 11.
Riverside also won the junior high game 36-22 behind Puckett's 11 points.
The Lady Rebels return to the hardcourt Tuesday, taking on Cross County at the NEA Tournament in Jonesboro. Tipoff is set for noon.
