Manila School board declares open seat
Manila School Board members met in a short special called meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 9, accepting a letter of resignation from board member Dean Tucker, position 4.
Tucker's letter thanked the board and the community for giving him the opportunity to serve. Due to conflicts in his work schedule and the relocation of his family, he felt it was in the best interest of the district for him to resign.
The board voted to accept his resignation and declared position 4 open.
President Tracey Reinhart asked the board to put in writing any names they would like to submit for consideration for an appointment.
"We can discuss the names at the regular Nov. 17 meeting," Reinhart said.
Other Board members present were Dan Robbins, Johnny McCain, Jeremy Jackson, Tommy Wagner and Terry Carr.
