Manila Jr. Cross Country wraps up dominating season

The Manila Cross Country teams finished the season at Bald Knob on Nov. 1.

The junior boys team took home another overall first place to wrap up a dominating season. They participated in nine meets on the season, taking meet champion in eight of them and finishing runner-up in another.

Connor Jackson completed the cross country season with five overall meet champion medals. He also finished the season with the fastest time in the state in both the 1.3 mile and 1.55 mile distances and is currently ranked 34th in the nation in the 1.55 mile distance.

They were overall champions at Mountain Home, Melbourne, Heber Springs, Crowley's Ridge, Sloan Hendrix, Salem, Batesville and Bald Knob.

Individuals medaling this year include: Connor Jackson with nine medals, five of which were overall meet champion; Ty Wagner with nine medals; and Austin Harmon and Jake Baltimore with eight medals.
