Batesville -- Ethel Bernice Davis Cook went home to be with the Lord Nov. 8, 2016, in Batesville.

Bernice, Aunt B, was born July 17, 1943, in Little Rock to Curtis and Lottie Allen Davis. Bernie, as everyone called her, was a graduate of Little Rock Central High School and also Arkansas Baptist Hospital as a registered nurse. She was a member of Cabot First Baptist Church where she was a faithful member while living in Cabot. She attended First Nazarene Church in Batesville.

While living in Cabot, she was the school nurse for the entire Cabot School District.

She came to Manila in 1966 and served with Dr. Eugene Shaneyfelt as his registered nurse. While in Manila, she made many friends and also sang with the Variations.

Her favorite place on earth was "the farm" at Batesville where her mother's family was from. Her joy was having friends and family come out there to eat, fellowship and enjoy the beauty of nature.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ronnie Cook; her son, Mark Cook and Ashley of Batesville; her daughter Amy Disney and Aaron of Cabot; her brother, Albert Davis and Barbara of Little Rock; her sisters, Linda Shedd and Wayne of Manila and Lillian Morrison and Winston of Beebe; four grandchildren, Tex and Sawyer Cook of Batesville and Joshua and Caleb Disney of Cabot. She had two special cousins, William Allen of Little Rock and Dr. Roberta Bustin from Batesville but who is on mission in Romania.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, at the First Nazarene Church in Batesville with Rev. Del Medlin, Rev. Mike Johnson and Dr. Roberta Bustin officiating.

Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery at the farm under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
