Curtis W. "Dub" Henson, Jr., 80, of Osceola, formerly of Leachville, passed from this life Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville he was the son of the late Curtis W. and Marie Crafton Henson and was a member of the Leachville Masonic Lodge #689. Mr. Henson was a longtime employee of B.C. Land Co. and later retired from Cotton Growers Gin Co. in Dell.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law George Motley.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Catherine Blocker Henson of the home; two sons, Phillip Henson and wife Sherry of Searcy and Joe Michael Henson and wife Michelle of Osceola; his daughter, Tammy Carter and husband Johnny of Deatsville, Ala.; two sisters, June Motley of Leachville and Dixie Jo Morris and husband Vernon of West Helena; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Thomas Naes officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers are Hunter Henson, Joe Gurley, Johnny Carter, Eldon McAnally, Gary Joliff and Johnny Worsham. Honorary pallbearers included Jerry Crawford, Reggie Collum, M.D., Vernon Morris and Vernon Morris, Jr.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home in Leachville.
