Lions fall 35-19 to Trumann

Manila (1-1) couldn't find an answer to Trumann's ground game this past Friday night at Wildcat field as the Wildcats ran for 314 yards as a team in posting a 35-19 win over the Lions.

Trumann got on the board first with just under six minutes left in the opening quarter before Manila evened the score with 4:07 left when Patrick Tanner connected with Timmy Smith on a 24 yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 7. The Wildcats added three more scores in the second quarter to take a 28-7 lead at the half.

The Wildcats added another score in the third quarter to increase their lead to 35-7 with 7:42 left. Manila added two in the final quarter as Logan Hamilton scored on a three yard run with 8:03 left and Smith sprinted 81 yards for a score with 25 seconds left in the game to set the final score.

Smith led the Manila offense with 99 yards rushing a touchdown as Hamilton finished with 89 yards rushing a touchdown.
